On 1st March 2025, a one-day Women’s Conference was held in Trichy, specifically organized for pastors’ wives and women involved in ministry from churches in and around the region. The event witnessed a remarkable turnout, with close to 300 women participating—some of whom travelled over 200 kilometers to attend. The gathering served as a powerful platform of encouragement, healing, and empowerment for women in ministry.
Conference Highlights
The conference featured a lineup of impactful speakers whose personal testimonies and messages deeply resonated with the attendees:
- Pastor Rachel Anita, herself a pastor’s daughter and a gifted worship leader, shared her moving testimony of healing—from being bedridden to now travelling across the country preaching Jesus. Her story was particularly uplifting for many women present who often face challenging domestic circumstances while trying to serve the Lord.
- Lynda Brooks, wife of New Zealand trustee Alan Brooks, gave a heartfelt message on her journey through depression and how she found freedom and restoration in Christ. Her vulnerability and honesty offered hope to many women silently fighting similar battles.
- Pastor Reema Sherline, a prominent pastor’s wife known to many in attendance, courageously opened up about her ongoing struggles. Her message focused on how the Lord continues to be her source of courage and strength, emphasizing that God truly fights our battles when we lean into Him.
- Pastor Elsie Daniel concluded the sessions with a stirring exhortation, urging the women to rise up and take their God-ordained place in the kingdom. Her message served as a rallying cry for women to boldly engage in spiritual leadership and ministry.
Spiritual Breakthrough
Each participant received a set of books to aid them in their spiritual growth and ministry work. The final session concluded with a vibrant time of worship. The atmosphere was electric as women, deeply touched by the presence of God, broke into spontaneous dance—an outward expression of the inner liberation they experienced through the day.
Long-Term Impact
Since the last conference held in 2023, there has been a noticeable shift, particularly among pastors' wives in rural areas. Many have stepped out of traditional roles and are now actively ministering alongside their husbands. Their talents, once hidden in the shadows, are now being recognized and honored within their churches. As a result, larger congregations are also experiencing renewed vitality through the leadership of these empowered women.
This cultural and spiritual transformation is a testament to what God is doing through gatherings like these. It is no exaggeration to say that DPM has played a pivotal role in this movement—encouraging, equipping, and resourcing women for effective ministry.
Conclusion
The 2025 Women’s Conference was not just a day-long event, but a significant spiritual milestone in the lives of hundreds of women leaders. It reinforced the message that women have a critical and God-ordained role in the advancement of the Kingdom. As these women return to their churches, they do so with fresh vision, restored strength, and an unshakable conviction that God is with them in their calling.
