In a historic first, Derek Prince Ministries held a series of pastors’ and leaders’ conferences across Kerala, a state known for its deep religious roots yet challenging spiritual landscape. Over four days, hundreds of church leaders, young ministers, and mission workers gathered in Thrissur, Kottayam, Trivandrum, and the Kerala–Tamil Nadu border region to hear the life-changing message of The Divine Exchange—a teaching that revealed afresh what Christ accomplished on the cross.
Day 1 – Thrissur: A Breakthrough Despite Opposition
The outreach began with a conference in Thrissur, originally planned for Ernakulam but relocated due to opposition from local pastors over doctrinal differences, particularly Derek Prince’s From Curse to Blessing. DPM has been mischaracterized by some mainstream denominations, creating barriers to engagement. However, a supportive pastor in Thrissur opened his doors, and the result was a remarkable turnaround.
Despite initial apprehensions—both theological tensions and Kerala’s conservative stance on women speakers—the teaching was met with enthusiasm. The message of The Divine Exchange struck a chord, with many pastors acknowledging a deeper understanding of Scripture and freedom from traditional mindsets.
A young pastor testified, “This teaching opened my eyes to truths I never dared to explore because of tradition.” Another remarked, “We’ve been given a golden key to unlock rusted locks.” Encouragingly, senior leaders requested further sessions, affirming, “This is something we need!”
Day 2 – Kottayam: Youthful Zeal Meets Timeless Truth
In Kottayam, the atmosphere was charged with expectancy, especially among young pastors and mission workers. Despite the heat and a recent threat to the host church by political groups opposing Christian activity, the turnout was strong.
As the teaching unfolded, it ignited visible joy and spiritual awakening. Spontaneous applause and shouts of joy filled the room as attendees grasped the significance of Christ’s sacrifice.
One advocate-turned-minister said, “This teaching revealed my true identity in Christ—something I’ve never heard before.” A seasoned pastor shared, “I’d preached parts of this before, but today I learned how to apply them. It was a new revelation.”
For one woman, Derek Prince’s teaching had long been a lifeline:
“I first heard Derek’s message on YouTube. From Curse to Blessing brought me a breakthrough. Today, I continue in ministry because of what I learned through him.”
Day 3 – Trivandrum: A Spirit-Filled Overflow
In Trivandrum’s Nedumangad region, more than 100 leaders—many women in ministry—packed a small facility beyond its capacity. Standing for hours, they remained fully engaged, soaking in deep teaching on the completed work of the cross.
Testimonies reflected transformation. One young pastor shared, “I used to believe my suffering was God’s will. Today I learned Christ has already finished it all—I just need to receive it.” A senior pastor added, “This message gave me strength not to give up, but to stand firm.”
Perhaps most moving was an unspoken prayer answered: a pastor approached and invited us to bring this teaching to Kerala’s unreached northern districts—Kannur, Kasaragod, Palakkad, Kozhikode, and Guruvayoor—areas we had quietly committed to in prayer. God’s timing proved perfect once again.
Day 4 – Kerala–Tamil Nadu Border: Freedom Beyond Formalism
The final leg of the outreach took us to Muzhucode, near the Kerala–Tamil Nadu border. Known for its Christian history, the region has often been bound by religious formalism. Yet at our final pastors’ conference, the hunger for truth was unmistakable.
One pastor’s wife, burdened and discouraged, left the meeting saying, “This teaching lifted my spirit. I feel alive again!” A pastor echoed the message’s power: “We are not limited by our resources—we have Christ’s unlimited provision!”
On Sunday, we ministered in two local churches. Though modest in size, they were rich in spiritual hunger. A local pastor admitted, “I thought Derek only taught about blessings and curses. I now see how deep and rich his understanding of Scripture truly is.”
Conclusion: A Journey Marked by Grace and Impact
The outreach, though physically exhausting in Kerala’s sweltering heat, was marked by divine appointments, hunger for truth, and deep spiritual breakthroughs. Misconceptions were challenged, minds renewed, and hearts set ablaze with the reality of what Christ has accomplished.
As we look ahead, especially toward unreached parts of Kerala, we carry with us stories of transformation and a renewed call to preach freedom through God’s Word.
Thank you for your prayers and support. You have helped bring life-changing truth to a region ready for revival.
To God be the glory!
