In a region where faith often faces significant barriers, a recent outreach effort by DPM-Vietnam has sparked new hope and transformation among tribal communities in Central Vietnam. Through a series of leadership seminars and youth programmemes held in May and June, dozens of local leaders and over 100 teenagers were empowered with messages of hope, love, and purpose.
Empowering Leaders
One of Vietnam’s provinces located in the Central Highlands is home to diverse ethnic groups. Despite remote conditions and cultural challenges, 35 church leaders from these communities gathered in May for intensive seminars on Matthew 24:14 and At the End of Time. The sessions emphasized discipleship, outreach, and spiritual preparation.
Pastor MV, one of the local leaders, described the seminar as "a timely message of grace and salvation." Inspired by the teachings, four young leaders—two men and two women—committed themselves to full-time ministry training under DPM’s guidance. Their mission: to bring the Gospel to the next generation of young people.
Further east lies a coastal province with rich cultural history and a significant population of two ethnic groups where a similar seminar reached 50 church leaders. One pastor was so moved that he left the seminar to visit two villages resistant to Christianity. There, he shared the Gospel with courage and compassion. The result? Three families in a village opened their home for a new house church. In another village, a family accepted the faith and was baptized.
Seeds of Faith Among Teenagers
Outreach programmes were held for 120 teenagers who attended three sessions centred on the theme of Spiritual Warfare for Teenagers.
Parents responded warmly, creating an opening for discreet, ongoing ministry through small group gatherings. These low-key efforts allow the team to continue sharing love and hope without drawing unwanted government attention.
One particularly touching story from the outreach involves 15-year-old Minh*. After his parents’ divorce, Minh was abandoned and left to live with his grandmother. He battled depression and feelings of worthlessness—until he encountered the love of God at the outreach event. Minh has since returned to learn Bible stories, showing signs of healing and hope. DPM asks for continued prayers as this young boy discovers his identity and purpose.

A Quiet Revival
These efforts by DPM-Vietnam may not make headlines across the nation, but in the quiet hills, coastal villages and urban centres, a quiet revival is stirring. New home churches are forming, young people are stepping into leadership, and teenagers once forgotten are finding belonging and love.
As the work continues, the DPM-Vietnam team remains committed to its mission—empowering local believers to reach their communities in culturally sensitive, practical, and deeply spiritual ways.
