Angola Outreach
Angola, a diverse and culturally rich nation, boasts of 46 distinct languages. However, the primary language spoken and officially recognized is Portuguese. The nation's turbulent history, marked by prolonged periods of communism and war, has significantly shaped its current political and socio-cultural climate. The remnants of communist ideologies and leadership remain, influencing various aspects of life in the country.
Ricky van der Berg's Impactful Missions
The late Ricky van der Berg, a key figure in Derek Prince Ministries South Africa, took strides in fostering relationships with Angola's religious community. His initial visit to Angola on a business entry visa paved the way for critical interactions with many pastors throughout the country.
His subsequent mission through North West Zambia proved fruitful as he ministered to hundreds of pastors there. This journey also facilitated the introduction of Derek’s teachings into Angola, marking a significant milestone in our outreach efforts.
Distribution of Derek Prince’s Resources
In our mission to spread the Word of God, we have successfully provided Mega Voice Solar Players and Portuguese DVD sets along with our Self Study Bible Course to numerous individuals across Angola. Further details of these distributions can be viewed in our power point presentation.
Future Endeavours
Derek Prince Ministries South Africa has ambitious plans for furthering our outreach in Angola. We aim to print and distribute the Self Study Bible Course, primarily targeting organizations like YWAM, O.M. Iris Ministries, and other active ministries in the region.
In addition, we have identified over 20 books in Portuguese that could be printed and disseminated in Angola and Mozambique, given the availability of necessary funds.

Our partnership with Wessel van der Merwe from O.M. in Angola plays an essential role in our operations. His support and cooperation have allowed us to enhance our impact and continue our mission of spreading the teachings of Christ to every corner of Angola.
