Mozambique Outreach

Mozambique, a country of diverse languages, with Portuguese being the official one but with six other dominantly spoken languages, has endured over 20 years of conflict. The scars of war are still evident and the nation continues to grapple with recovery. Furthermore, attacks, particularly in the north of Mozambique by Isis-related groups, persist, posing a constant threat to the lives of villagers and Christians.

Despite these challenging circumstances, the commitment of Derek Prince Ministries South Africa to minister in Mozambique remains unwavering. Over the years, we've distributed Portuguese versions of the Self Study Bible Course and DVD Foundation sets to Malawi, along with other book titles and teaching letters sourced from DPM Portugal. However, shipping costs pose a significant barrier to these outreach efforts.

In a timely move, just before the lockdown began, YWAM publishers in Nampula, Mozambique, were able to print over 2000 copies of the Self Study Bible Course. These were disseminated across the country to YWAM and Operation Mobilisation (OM) bases, Iris Ministries, and numerous other organisations. This initiative allowed for Derek's teachings to continue reaching hearts and transforming lives amid such adversities.

Our ongoing mission is to provide spiritual sustenance to this war-torn nation, empowering them through God's Word, and supporting the resilience and faith of the Mozambican people.
