South Africa Outreach
Derek Prince Ministries South Africa (DPM SA) was inaugurated in 1984, following a series of influential visits Derek made to the country during the 1970s. The South African office was the first and only DPM office in Africa at that time. Notably, Derek conducted a week-long series titled "Kingdom vs Kingdom" at the University of Pretoria, and his teachings during the Charismatic Conferences held in Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town, and Zimbabwe made him a beloved figure within the Christian community in South Africa. Many attendees reported healings and deliverances during these transformative meetings.
The Global Outreach Program and Our Ongoing Translation Work
In line with Derek's vision to make his teachings accessible to all, regardless of their financial circumstances, the Global Outreach Program was launched soon after DPM SA was established. In collaboration with DPM USA, we began by distributing free resources to pastors and leaders across 13 African countries. Our initiatives included the Graduate Gift Pack program, through which Bible School graduates received a gift pack containing the Foundations book and DVD set.
Recognizing the need for materials in local languages, we voiced the Foundations teaching series in 13 African languages and Portuguese, and we continue to provide French materials to pastors attending Missions Exposure Training (MET) in Pretoria. Over the years, we have completed translations into Zulu, North Sotho, South Sotho, Malagasy, Afrikaans, Bemba, Chichewa, and later Swahili, Luganda, Tswana, Xhosa, and Ndebele, with additional translations currently in progress. Our ultimate goal is for everyone to hear and understand Derek’s teaching in their own language.
The Mega Voice Player Project and Future Endeavours
In response to a divine calling to disseminate Derek's teachings into "Joseph’s Storehouses" across every country, we initiated the Mega Voice Player Project. Over 200 players were sent out to the 13 African countries and Madagascar, even reaching areas with high risks of theft and prohibitive postal costs. Some players even found their way to Madagascar aboard a catamaran purchased in South Africa by our DPM friends. As we look forward to the second launch of this project, we remain committed to our mission of spreading the Gospel through Derek's teachings, aiming to reach every corner of the continent.
