Zambia Outreach

Zambia, a country located in southern Africa, is recognized for its remarkable linguistic diversity, with 73 languages spoken across the nation. Bemba, Nyanja (or Chewa), Tonga, and Lozi are the most widely spoken languages, used by 35%, 20%, 12%, and 6% of the population, respectively. An urban variety of Nyanja (Chewa) serves as the lingua franca in the capital, Lusaka, facilitating communication among speakers of different languages.

Connections with Kaniki Bible University

The bond between Derek Prince and Peter Pedersen, the founder of Kaniki Bible University in Ndola, Zambia, has played a significant role in our outreach in the country. Both hailing from Denmark, Pedersen and his wife Clara Marie celebrated 50 years of ministry in Zambia in March 2022. Derek had the privilege of ministering at both Kaniki Bible School and Sachibondu in Northern Zambia.

The Pedersens' Legacy and Our Continuing Work

After five decades of dedicated missionary work, particularly with the Apostolic Church in Zambia (ACZ), the Pedersens returned to Denmark, leaving behind a rich legacy of preaching and teaching the Gospel to the Zambian masses.

Over the years, we've sent large volumes of Derek's material to Zambia, supporting the continuation of this vital work. Despite escalating costs - with shipping two Self Study Bible Courses to a Zambian prison reaching R200 - we've been determined to provide these valuable resources.

Recognizing the potential of digital platforms, we're encouraging use of online resources like YouTube and the mobile App, which provide easy access to much of Derek's teaching. We continue to rely on people visiting these countries for outreach, ensuring that Derek's teachings reach those who need them the most.
