Over the past several months, our travels through India and Sri Lanka have revealed a remarkable movement of God. In the face of growing global challenges, we are witnessing a renewed spiritual hunger within the church.
A Growing Audience
The renewed passion we are seeing has been especially evident in Maharashtra state, despite significant persecution under anti-Christian governance. Pastors and leaders have gathered in large numbers at our meetings, from 300 participants at our first gathering in the city of Chandrapur to 800 at our concluding event in Gondia city.
The testimonies we heard were both humbling and encouraging. One pastor in Maharashtra shared his experience:
"I came to the conference burdened with questions and a faith that was deeply challenged. Through today’s teaching, God answered every single one of my questions. Thank you for faithfully bringing the message of the cross and reviving my faith."
Another powerful testimony came from a woman who experienced deliverance through Derek’s book, They Shall Expel Demons:
"After borrowing a copy from a pastor, I was set free from numerous demonic bondages while reading the book. Later, during a worship session, a woman in the congregation manifested a demon. With no one else knowing how to respond, I applied the teachings I had learned from Derek’s book and, by God’s grace, the woman was delivered. That moment launched my deliverance ministry."
Impact in Sri Lanka
Similarly, Sri Lanka has begun to yield the fruits of over 11 years of dedicated DPM ministry. A local pastor shared his testimony, recounting how attending a DPM conference transformed his life and ministry:
"Before I attended the conference, I was following false doctrines. The teachings I received convicted me and led me to repentance. I surrendered the false beliefs, immersed myself in the Word, and my ministry was completely restored. Thank you for the role you played in saving both my ministry and my soul."
During our most recent trip, more than 1,000 pastors attended conferences in five locations across central Sri Lanka. Additionally, we distributed over 13,000 of Derek’s books to support their spiritual growth and ministry.
Raising Up Young Leaders
Our Youth Leaders Training Program (YTP) continues to equip the next generation of leaders. Recently, two sisters from Bangalore, who attended a YTP camp two years ago, launched a youth ministry team at their church. They are now mentoring 14 young individuals, many from non-Christian backgrounds. It was a privilege to dedicate this team to the Lord during our recent visit.
More Open Doors Ahead
In the latter half of 2025, we plan to return to major cities in Maharashtra, including Nagpur, as well as regions in Karnataka, Rajasthan, and West Bengal states. Our focus will be on equipping pastors and leaders with sound biblical teaching as they shepherd growing congregations.
Additionally, we will again fly to the remote Andaman Islands to conduct two three-day Young Leaders Training Programs—one in the interior islands and another in Port Blair. In addition to these teaching sessions, we will host three more training conferences for pastors and leaders at various locations.
In Sri Lanka, we hope to replenish the distributed book stocks, as funds allow, and print new materials to reinforce the DPM seminar teachings. Planned publications include Blessing or Curse: You Can Choose; Power of Proclamation, and What’s So Important About the Cross in both Tamil and Sinhala languages.
