In recent weeks, ministry in Israel has been marked by constant disruption. Andy & Carla Ure shared that they are “well and safe,” but also “going out to visit people and dodge missiles along the way.” Even simple travel can change in a moment. On the way to Haifa, there were multiple alerts, and they ended up taking cover “in a bomb shelter at a service station.” On another day near the Lebanon border, Andy wrote: “We were in the shelter four times in an hour.”
And yet, doors for the Word are still opening. Working alongside CFI Jerusalem, Andy and Carla continue to place Derek Prince books into the hands of believers and fellowships, free of charge, in Russian, Hebrew, Arabic, and English.
Just in the last days, they visited two fellowships in Haifa: Immanuel Evangelical Church, which received 190 books, and a new connection, Tree of Life Ministries, which received 140 books (across Arabic, Russian, Hebrew, and English). They also welcomed a pastor from Ahavat Yeshua, who took 12 Hebrew books to share.

A Season of Relief and Ministry Side by Side
Because of the current security situation, many planned gatherings have been postponed and travel has often been curtailed. In practice, that has meant Andy and Carla’s work has not been limited to book distribution alone. In this season, ministry has included practical support for those under pressure, alongside prayer and encouragement.
In the March update from Jerusalem, Tristan Hall described the team visiting evacuee locations and meeting families who had to leave their homes. Through your partnership, they were able to help with food vouchers, toiletries, and small gifts for children that bring real comfort during traumatic days.

Open Doors for Derek Prince Books (Russian Demand Especially Strong)
Even with restrictions, the Lord has continued to open remarkable doors for distribution. Andy and Carla reported that in early 2026 they were able to distribute around 1,050 books in January and February. March has been heavily disrupted, but the need has only grown.
One of the clearest patterns right now is language demand. According to Andy’s report, the strongest demand is currently Russian, followed by Arabic, then Hebrew, and then English. Andy summarized it simply: “We will be able to distribute many more in Russian once we have more titles. Also the same for the Hebrew titles.”
Ashkelon: “Every book was taken”
In Ashkelon, Andy and Carla visited Beit Shalom Church, a Russian-speaking fellowship. They brought 40 Derek Prince books, ten copies each of four Russian titles. Within minutes, every book was taken. The pastor was eager for more, and the team is planning to return.

Haifa: A Request for 400 Self‑Study Bible Courses
In Haifa, Andy and Carla visited Living Israel Church, a vibrant congregation with a strong discipleship focus. They were especially interested in Derek Prince’s Self-Study Bible Course in Russian, and requested 400 copies for their congregation and Bible school. This is a clear example of why printing decisions matter: the hunger is real, and when resources are available, they move quickly into people’s hands.

Reaching Across Communities (Hebrew, Arabic, English)
This work is not limited to one group or one city. Andy and Carla continue to meet with Jewish and Arab believers, and also connect with Ethiopian-speaking fellowships and other communities where language needs vary.
- In Nazareth, the team was able to support a single mother with food vouchers.
- In Jerusalem, they assisted a believer struggling under financial pressure with help toward rent payments.
- In Tel Aviv, they connected with an Ethiopian-speaking fellowship, and there was specific interest in Hebrew titles for those learning Hebrew, alongside English and Arabic titles.

Looking Ahead: Printing to Meet Real Demand
The most consistent demand signals right now point toward Russian and Hebrew titles. We are currently aligning with CFI Jerusalem on a print plan that is realistic, cost-effective, and matched to what churches are requesting.
In the meantime, please keep praying for protection, wisdom, and endurance for those serving on the ground, and for the Lord to bring an end to hostilities and restore stable rhythms.
Prayer
Please pray for:
- Protection and peace for families under constant disruption.
- Wisdom for Andy and Carla as they navigate restrictions and changing conditions.
- Open doors for God’s Word to reach hearts in every community.
- Provision so we can keep giving these resources freely.
