Vietnam faces significant challenges for its Christian population, with the communist government imposing strict restrictions on Christian activities. Despite these obstacles, church growth continues, with non-traditional Protestants and converts from indigenous religions often facing persecution.
The church here struggles with a shortage of well-translated material and a lack of support for pastors and so access to sound biblical teaching and training resources remains an important need—particularly in more remote areas.

From 13–17 April, the DPM-Vietnam team had the privilege of ministering to a tribal group over 400 km south of Da Nang, where they experienced a deeply encouraging and fruitful time of outreach. The team reports:
A key focus of the visit was equipping local pastors and church leaders. We were able to distribute a number of DPM Vietnamese resources, which are already being used as ongoing training tools within the churches. These materials are especially valuable in Vietnam, where many leaders are eager for structured teaching to strengthen both their personal walk with God and their ability to disciple others.

Dedicated teaching sessions were held to guide leaders in how to use these resources effectively—particularly the Laying the Foundation series and Self Study Bible Course. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing a strong desire for continued training in the future.
There was a clear hunger for God’s Word throughout the meetings. Leaders were greatly encouraged and strengthened, and there is a growing expectation for deeper teaching and ongoing partnership in the months ahead.

We also had the joy of reaching out to children in the community. During these gatherings, the Gospel was shared in a clear and accessible way, and 30 children responded by giving their lives to the Lord. It was a powerful reminder of the openness and faith of young hearts.
In addition, we ministered to those in need of healing. As we prayed, several people experienced significant improvement, including one woman who had been suffering severe abdominal pain. These moments brought great encouragement to the local believers and testified to God’s compassion and power.
We give all the glory to God for what He has done during this outreach. We believe this is just the beginning, and we look forward to seeing continued growth, strengthened leadership, and lasting transformation in the communities we served.
To God be the glory!
