I woke up this morning with the phrase "bounce-back" resonating in my mind. While I know this was a personal word for myself, I felt compelled to share the message that was put on my heart.

We all face moments in life when it feels like we have been knocked down. Whether it's personal setbacks or unexpected obstacles, such as a car accident, these moments can test and shake our confidence. This is particularly relevant to me, as a close family member was recently involved in a horrible car crash. The aftermath has been a challenging journey for our entire family, testing our strength and resolve. However, as we know, what truly matters is not the setback itself, but how we rise from it.

I am thankful that, as believers, we can hold onto a higher source of strength. We have a God-given power that enables us to rise from these lows, to bounce back with greater determination and purpose. Philippians 4:13 reminds us, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." This profound truth empowers us to press on towards our goals with unwavering determination. No matter how daunting the path may seem, we are equipped with a divine strength that surpasses our limitations.

In moments of difficulty, it’s essential to dig deep and get up. The journey to recovery and progress is not always easy, but it is always possible with the strength that comes from our faith. Each setback is an opportunity to grow, to learn, and to become stronger. The resilience we develop in these challenging times shapes our character and fortifies our spirit.

As I think about bouncing back, I remember the wisdom shared by Dick Legget, who heads up DPM USA, in his article Keeping It Simple. He talks about the importance of setting simple and attainable goals. Sometimes, we make life more complex than it needs to be, which can hinder our progress. By focusing on simple, actionable steps, we can navigate challenges more effectively and stay on track.

Dick's emphasis on the verse Micah 6:8 is particularly relevant: "He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?" This simple yet powerful guideline can help us stay grounded and focused on what truly matters. It’s a reminder that we don’t need to overcomplicate our spiritual journey; instead, we can follow these basic principles to lead a fulfilling and righteous life.

I also love how Derek Prince puts it in his book Why Bad Things Happen to God’s People. He offers such valuable insights into understanding and handling life's trials.

"Be comforted by resting in the Truth of God’s goodness, power, and love—no matter what challenges may come up against you!" (Derek Prince)

This resonates deeply with me, especially during tough times. He also reminds us, "God’s people still experience the challenges of life. There is one factor, however, that sets people of faith apart—hope." This hope is what keeps us going, giving us the strength to bounce back and face each day with renewed vigor.

When I reflect on Derek’s words, I feel a renewed sense of hope and strength. He has a way of making the complex seem simple, and his teachings are like a breath of fresh air in difficult times.

So, my dear friend, let's approach our setbacks with simplicity and faith. When life knocks you down, rise with the confidence that you are supported by a power far greater than any difficulty you may encounter. Declare over your life that no matter what your setbacks may be, you are going to bounce back. Embrace the truth that your strength is rooted in Christ, and with His help, you can conquer any challenge. Let this promise fuel your perseverance and ignite your hope. You are equipped, you are capable, and you will rise again.

May this message of bouncing back encourage you today. Whatever you are facing, know that you have the strength to overcome it and emerge even stronger. Let your faith be your anchor, and let God's power be your guide as you navigate through life's ups and downs. You are destined for victory, and your setbacks are merely stepping stones to a greater purpose.

So, take heart and move forward with confidence. Bounce back, rise above, and press on with the assurance that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. For further encouragement and deeper understanding, I highly recommend reading Derek Prince’s Why Bad Things Happen to God’s People.
